Who is responsible

Data controller

ArtFeatures.com is responsible for the processing described here. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@artfeatures.com.

What we collect

Information you provide

We process account identity and sign-in details, followed and saved content, artist audience campaigns, profile submissions, private contact details, uploaded images and rights information, correspondence, inquiry details, and newsletter subscription records. We also retain limited security records such as hashed network identifiers, sign-in events, and session information.

3

Why we use it

Account information is used to provide collector features such as following artists and to provide the requested artist workspace and editorial review service. When you follow an artist by email, the confirmation link follows that artist and creates a private collector account only if the address is not already registered. Security records support the legitimate interest of protecting accounts and the platform. Inquiry information is used with the sender’s consent to review and, where appropriate, forward a message. Newsletter email addresses and consent evidence are used only after explicit consent and email confirmation; consent can be withdrawn at any time through the unsubscribe link. Certain records may also be retained to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Artist Submission Terms

These terms record the rights confirmations and publication permission attached to every artist-profile revision submitted for editorial review.

Copyright stays with its existing rights holders. The accepted terms grant ArtFeatures.com a limited, non-exclusive licence for editorial review, publication, archiving, and promotion; they do not transfer ownership.

1. When these terms apply

These terms apply whenever a verified artist account submits an artist profile or a revised profile to ArtFeatures.com for editorial review. Saving a private draft does not grant publication permission; acceptance is required when each completed revision is submitted.

2. Authority and accuracy

You confirm that you are the artist or are authorised by the artist to provide the submitted profile information and materials. You confirm that the names, biography, artwork information, links, credits, copyright notices, and internal rights information you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge.

3. Rights in submitted material

You confirm that you own the necessary rights or have obtained all permissions needed for ArtFeatures.com to use every submitted portrait, artwork image, text, and other material as described here. This includes permission from photographers, copyright owners, artists, representatives, and identifiable people where their permission is required. You must not submit material that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other third-party rights.

4. Licence to ArtFeatures.com

Copyright and other ownership remain with their existing rights holders. Nothing in these terms transfers copyright to ArtFeatures.com.

You grant ArtFeatures.com a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, resize, crop, reformat, display, communicate to the public, and distribute the submitted material only as reasonably needed to review, edit, publish, archive, and promote the relevant artist profile, artworks, interview, and ArtFeatures.com editorial coverage. This includes use on ArtFeatures.com, in ArtFeatures.com email publications, and on social accounts operated by ArtFeatures.com.

The licence permits reasonable technical and editorial preparation, including responsive image generation, format conversion, layout crops, copy-editing, and excerpting, but does not permit ArtFeatures.com to represent itself as the creator or copyright owner of an artwork.

5. Duration and removal

The licence continues while the relevant editorial material is published or retained in the ArtFeatures.com archive. You may request prospective removal of submitted material by contacting ArtFeatures.com. ArtFeatures.com will assess the request in light of existing publications, legitimate editorial archives, technical backups, third-party reposts outside its control, and applicable legal obligations.

6. Credits and editorial decisions

ArtFeatures.com will make reasonable efforts to use the supplied credit and copyright information. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, a particular presentation, continued publication, or inclusion of every supplied item. Final selection, editing, layout, scheduling, and publication remain editorial decisions.

7. Personal information

Private contact details and account information are handled as described in the Privacy Notice. They are not made public merely because a profile is submitted.

8. Changes to these terms

The accepted version is stored with each submitted revision. If these terms change, a new version will be shown and must be accepted before a later revision can be submitted.
